Ahead of Living Wage Week, employee owned manufacturer, Rowlinson Knitwear has set up a survey to find out views on the Living Wage from other Stockport businesses.
Living Wage Week runs from 9th to 15th November, and celebrates over 6500 employers in the UK which have signed up to the Living Wage Foundation’s commitment to voluntarily pay a real living wage to all staff as a minimum.
Based on assessments of the cost of living, the Living Wage is currently set at £9.30 per hour, or £10.75 in London. The National Living Wage, the statutory minimum wage for over 25s is currently set at £8.72 per hour with no London weighting.
As part of the employee-owned and Living Wage Foundation accredited school uniform manufacturer’s celebrations of Living Wage Week, Rowlinson Knitwear are asking other Stockport employers to share their views on the scheme via a short online survey to find out how other local businesses view the campaign, and how they view other businesses that have signed up to the scheme.
Stockport business owners and leadership can take the five-question survey online here.
