The Boutique Designer Craft Show opens at Staircase House in Stockport on Friday 15th November. This year’s amazing show has again been guest curated by prolific North West jewellery designer Jo Lavelle and features a stunning selection of work by 18 of the UK’s finest designer makers in jewellery, ceramics and textiles.
The show provides visitors with the perfect opportunity to discover what’s ‘hot’ on the designer crafts scene and to see fabulous and affordable crafts to buy and collect.
Highlights include two Stockport talents:
Ceramicist Brittany Delany creates beautiful yet
functional tableware and jewellery;
Silversmith Rebecca Lawley’s tableware
incorporate elements of 1950’s and 60’s design –
simple, clear, crisp forms, beautifully finished and
aesthetically pleasing and functional.
Councillor Iain Roberts, Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said:
“This year’s show features a varied collection of unique handmade pieces by talented British designers. We are delighted to be able to provide a platform for them to showcase their work and for people to experience designer crafts at its best. I encourage everyone to visit the show.”
Guest Curator Jo Lavelle added:
“I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to again guest curate the Stockport Designer Craft Show which promises to be a beautiful exhibition of high quality design and the perfect place to shop for special occasions such as Christmas.
