Stockport County have launched a new website to kick off the new season.
The team at Edgeley Park commissioned neighbouring creative agency Platform81, based less than a mile from the club’s Edgeley Park Stadium, following a formal pitch process.
The design and build of the new Stockport County website had to be ready for the start of the 2017/18 season.
Stockport County Chairman Richard Park said:
“Providing our fans with a more enjoyable experience when they visit www.stockportcounty.com is hugely important to us and we are extremely happy that the new site provides all the necessary information in a more engaging format.
“Platform81 were the ideal partner for this project thanks to their creative ideas and technical expertise, but we were also really pleased to be able to support a growing local business.”
Platform81 director Nick Wroe added:
“As a local lad and football fan, I am delighted that we have been given the opportunity to work with one of the region’s best known football clubs.
“The brief we were given centred around creating a more exciting online presence that can be easily accessed and navigated by fans on multiple platforms as well as being user friendly for the club to ensure content can be updated in a logical, straightforward manner.
“We hope the Hatters fans enjoy exploring the new site as much as we enjoyed designing it.”
Stockport County recently announced that Stockport’s famous brewer Robinsons would once again be sponsors of the Hatters’ alternate away shirt next season.
County Commercial Manager Simon Dawson said:
“We are obviously delighted to have Robinsons on board, they are one of our key partners and it’s great to see how the relationship has flourished over the last three years.”
Robinsons returned to County in 2014 after a 12-year absence and have backed the club ever since.
