Stockport County are holding on to hope of a play-off spot and will be fielding a determined side against Gloucester City.
Commercial Manager Simon Dawson is hoping the fans will fill Edgeley Park and spur on the Hatters:
“This Saturday promises to be a huge day at Stockport County. The team still sit just outside the play-off places, but there are numerous result combinations that could see County jump into the top five.
“Aside from the obvious interest that this creates, there is also an anniversary reunion taking place as well. It is fifty years to the day that the Hatters won the old Fourth Division. This Saturday will see eight of the surviving eleven players from that squad reunite once again, with the trophy being borrowed from the Football League to be on show for the day.
“Everybody is hoping that the omens are with County and that Lady Luck sees them into one of the coveted four places.
Please come along to Edgeley Park to lend your support and voice in helping the lads strive for that success that brings publicity and business to the town.”
