Stockport Council has further expanded its One Stockport Family Hubs support with the launch of three more networks in Bramhall, Cheadle and Marple.
Hubs at local libraries in Bramhall, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Heald Green, High Lane or Marple, or Life Leisure in Cheadle, provide staff trained to connect families with resources to help improve the lives of children, young people and families across the borough.
Stockport Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Families & Education, Cllr Wendy Meikle said:
“We want to ensure parents, young people and children are supported and know where they can turn for information and help on all aspects of family life. There is now a clear and simple way for families with children of all ages to access help and support through our Family Hubs network and One Stockport Local community partners.”
Alongside the network of Family Hub buildings, support is also available from Stockport Council’s Family Hubs web pages. The online hub brings together a lot of information and tools, enabling families, young people and professionals to access a whole range of information and advice in one place.
Cllr Meikle continued:
“One Stockport Family Hubs form a vital part of One Stockport Local, which is bringing together help and support to make it easier for people to help themselves, their families, and those they care for. Family Hubs, whether in local neighbourhoods or accessed digitally, are places where information, advice and support can be easily found in one place.”
Family Hubs are part of the Council’s One Stockport Local neighbourhoods and prevention ambitions which aim to create happy and healthy lives for everyone living in Stockport.
