Leading supply chain management recruitment firm, Strive, has announced its commitment to Stockport and Orbit Development’s Beckwith House by making it the base for a new sister company.
Initially tempted to look for separate offices in Manchester city centre, Strive’s Managing Partner Javed Ashraf has opted to expand his existing premises in Stockport.
The new venture, called Reactive Recruit, will extend the existing business model into sales/call centre, HR, finance, IT/e-com, engineering & secretarial. In what Javed describes as a natural progression, the move will enable the company to offer a wider service to established and new clients without diluting the Strive brand.
The firm is currently looking to add to its team at Beckwith House to support the expansion and hopes to recruit locally.
Javed (pictured left) said:
“Beckwith House and Stockport town centre has been our home for three years and we are committed to being part of its exciting plans. When I looked at options in Manchester I took into consideration cost, commute time and energy of the environment and found that Stockport compared very favourably.
“I think there is a buzz around the town with a great deal of potential in all areas.
“Likewise Orbit have been exceptional, not only as a provider of good quality premises, but in its commitment to being genuinely ‘hands on’ in the local business community. That too was a contributing factor.”
Strive has consistently raised the bar in the recruitment sector and boasts an enviable client list of household names and a committed team of employees.
Javed Ashraf again: “Our supply chain clients are already using our new service and we will be looking to launch Reactive Recruit into new markets with serious intent in the next few months.”
Orbit Developments is Stockport’s largest landlord with 12 buildings in the town centre, including Beckwith House.
Tony Jones, Managing Director of Orbit Developments, said that anticipation of future improvements in and around the town centre had a played a major part in Strive’s decision.
“It is what we campaign for constantly. A vibrant town centre with an ambitious future will retain dynamic and successful businesses like Strive and its new sister business.
“We are delighted to hear that Javed is so committed to the town and the building and we wish him every success with the new venture.”
