A home care company in Stockport has relaunched a campaign to attract more care workers in line with an increase in demand.
Following the success of last year’s campaign, ‘You Can Care’, Home Instead Senior Care, is looking to recruit 100 caregivers to join its team.
Skills for Care, a trusted independent charity with over 18 years’ experience in workforce development, estimates that 8% of roles in adult social care are vacant, which gives an average of approximately 110,000 vacancies at any one time. These statistics suggest that the sector is struggling to keep up with demand as the population ages.
Speaking of the campaign, Clare Cliff, head of caregiver experience at Home Instead Stockport, says,
“The idea behind the ‘You Can Care’ campaign is to call out to people who may not have thought about a career in care. Caring is a truly rewarding job which offers excellent training and committed hours.
“We are looking to recruit 100 new caregivers who want to start a career in care with us through exceptional initial training and ongoing support. We were recently awarded the “Best Home Care Provider” in Stockport which recognises us for our outstanding companionship care that we deliver and the work that we do within the local community.”
Sarah, a caregiver for Home Instead commented on working for the care company.
Sarah said,
“I wanted to join Home Instead as a caregiver so I could ‘make a difference’ to the clients I am matched too and support their independence to remain living in their own homes. It’s the most rewarding job I have ever done.”
Home Instead Senior Care provides services tailored to the needs of individual clients and is available from as little as 1 hour to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The hashtag #youcancare has been created to support the campaign and you can find more information if you search #youcancare on social media.
