The organisers of the annual Stockport Business Awards are searching for a charity partner for their 2014 event, taking place on Thursday 2nd October.
The chosen charity will benefit from all fundraising activities and proceeds arising from the prestigious awards.
Other than the money raised the charity partner will benefits from:
- Links and branding on the SBA’s website
- PR coverage before and after the event
- Promotion in the awards brochure
- The opportunity to bring banners and promotional material along to the event (to be set up in charities allocated space)
- The opportunity for a charity representative to do a short speech on the night
Last year over £5000 was raised for The Weekend Day Centre for Dementia Care and the same target is being for this year. Some of the money raised went towards their annual Christmas party which was held in December at The Village hotel in Cheadle.
Charities based in Stockport who would like to be considered as charity partner for 2014 are required to appply by providing the following information:
- What does the charity do and who does it help?
- Are you based in the Stockport Borough or are you a national charity but provide benefit to the Stockport Borough through a specific project or fund?
- Do you have any facts and figures or anything else tangible so we know how we might benefit your charity? Any specific projects which you are fundraising for at the moment?
- Is there anything you think you can bring to Stockport Business Awards which will be mutually beneficial? E.g. Celebrity guest speaker, contribution of quality raffle prizes
