Last year Stockport based Vernon Building Society awarded £10,000 to local community and charity groups from its Jubilee fund, a community fund set up by Vernon Building Society in June 2012 to support local charitable and community causes..
One of the charities to benefit from the fund was Stockport based Jump Space, a specialist trampolining, rebound therapy and play centre that primarily benefits children and young people with disabilities.
They are open to all and actively encourage whole family participation.
During a visit to Jump Space, staff from the Vernon saw how the award of over £500 has been used to purchase a variety of items for it’s sensory room which allows children to relax in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Jump Space Chief Executive Marie Fisher said:
“I can’t stress how much the Jubilee Fund has
helped our charity. The Vernon’s kind donation
enabled us to purchase some highly-specialist
equipment for our sensory room, which will
greatly benefit hundreds of children and young
people across the whole spectrum of disability.”
Vernon Building Society staff are busy fundraising for the 2013 Jubilee Fund which will be launched in May. Application forms will be available with local charity and community groups able to register for more information prior to this by emailing jubileefund@thevernon.co.uk
