Stockport’s Apprenticeships Store has celebrated its third successful year.
To celebrate the Stockport Apprenticeships Store’s third birthday, Stockport Council’s past and present Apprentices were invited to attend and share their experiences.
The Council’s Chief Executive Eamonn Boylan, Councillor Dean Fitzpatrick (Executive Member for Education), John Myers (National Apprenticeships Service) and Johnathan Bourne (CEO of Damar Training) all visited the store to speak with Apprentices about their experiences.
Cllr Fitzpatrick said:
“The Stockport Apprenticeship Store allows young people to meet with different training providers in order to find the perfect career for them. I congratulate the Apprenticeships Store on continuing to offer a fantastic service and raising the profile of apprenticeships for Stockport residents.”
Eamonn Boylan said: “Offering Apprenticeships is a great way of helping young people who are starting their careers to grow their talent in a variety of vocational areas across the local authority. Apprenticeships help to deliver the skills that we need as an employer now and for the future.”
The Apprenticeships Store is the only one of its kind in the country able to offer a range of support to potential apprentices, employers and key advisors.
