The film focused on a series of gadgets that showcased the newest developments in ‘Wearables’ and the ‘Internet of Things’ and displayed a clear link with mobile technology – something that the recent Dixons Carphone merger has allowed them to explore in greater detail.
Using the storyline of ‘A day in the Life of a Customer’, following them from visiting a store through to them going to bed, we employed a series of match cuts that enable a seamless move from scene to scene.
After receiving a popular reception at the conference, Dixons Carphone commissioned a second film, to be used on the main website to showcase their Smart-Home technology offering.
Both films now appear on the Currys and PC World websites, so consumers can view the products and gain a greater understanding of how each product is used in the home, on the move, on the golf course or even while they sleep.
This project follows previous film work for the company, having produced a series of films for conferences in 2014.
Director of Creative Services Michael McCabe commented; “It’s a real testament to the quality of the content we produce and ambition of our client that something created for the conference can be used as an online sales tool for customers. We’re thrilled to grow this relationship with Dixons Carphone and look forward to working together on upcoming projects.”
