Eight members of the Bennett Verby team joined over 35,000 runners at the starting line of last month’s 14th Manchester’s 10K.
The team from Bennett Verby were there to raise awareness and support for Stockport’s local homeless charity The Wellspring. As a cornerstone of the Stockport jobs economy, the practice has supported The Wellspring for the last five years.
This time round, Bennett Verby raised over £500 for the charity. The money raised will go towards helping people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, to find employability and reassert their independence.
Bennett Verby Corporate Insolvency Director Vincent Simmons FIPA FABRP, who took part in the run, commented, “We are incredibly proud of the team who chose to give-up their Sunday and spend it running 10km through the Manchester rain with colleagues for a good cause. It goes to show that the cultures we build into our workplaces can have a wider impact than you might think.”
