The Managing Partner of a Stockport accountancy firm has been recognised for his outstanding leadership skills.
Andrew Baggott, of Clarke Nicklin in Cheadle, was shortlisted for the Finance Leader in Practice award at the Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants (MSCA) Annual Dinner.
The award is one of four newly introduced to the dinner which aimed to recognise local Chartered Accountants making outstanding contributions to business.
Baggott (pictured left) was shortlisted alongside business leaders from Grant Thornton in Manchester and Horsfield & Smith in Bury and comments:
“It was an honour to be shortlisted for this important award, especially as the competition was so fierce. The event was hugely enjoyable and it was a pleasure to be a part of it.”
The MSCA has been around for almost 150 years and the annual dinner is a key event where the society celebrates the success of local students who excelled in their final exams, amongst other industry successes.
On the night funds were raised for Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention, a local charity dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, and guests heard from Martyn Jones, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
