Stockport based specialist lender Together has acquired the 33,000 square-foot No.1 Lakeside building on Cheadle Royal Business Park for close to £6 million.
The fast growing financial services group Together has confirmed that the adjacent building has been acquired to support its long-term expansion plans.
No. 1 Lakeside has been purchased from owner Ian Pollitt, Cramer Properties, by a director of Together, to facilitate the growth plans of the business, which is currently housed in the neighbouring Lake View building.
Together provides a range of finance to customers including homebuyers, investors, landlords and businesses.
Kevin Fisher, HR director at Together, said: “Together has ambitious plans for expansion and we need to ensure we have the infrastructure in place to support our increasing number of colleagues.
“We are currently recruiting for a number of roles, many of which are newly-created, in order to help us meet demand across both our commercial and personal finance businesses. It’s an exciting time, but it is also essential we look ahead and plan accordingly to accommodate this growth.
“We’re really pleased about the acquisition of the neighbouring property, which allows us to expand whilst retaining our base here in Cheadle. It’s a long-term plan, however, as there are tenants in the property currently, so there will of course be discussions taking place in terms of appropriate timescales for the transition.”
The sale was managed by OBI Property, in an off-market deal.
As a specialist lender to niche markets through an extensive distribution network, Together, which was established in 1974, offers short-term finance, auction finance, residential, buy-to-let and commercial mortgages, and secured loans.
Earlier this month, Together hosted Marketing Stockport’s monthly event attended by more than 60 members. The event was an opportunity for specialist lender Together to launch their Community Foodbank project and share their newly adopted CSR strategy ‘Let’s make it count’ supporting local charities, communities and the environment.
