Hughes Safety Showers have worked with a local supplier to reduce their energy costs by installing a Solar PV System that will pay for itself in 6 years, resulting in a net gain of £10,000 per annum and saving them £10,000 per year for 20 years.
Hughes Safety Showers consume 144,000kWh and appointed Kast Energy Solutions of Marple to look at the feasibility of installing Solar PV panels on the roof of their Operations Centre in Stockport and what effect it would have upon their electricity bills.
Managing Director Tony Hughes is delighted with the outcome and the positive effect that the installation will make to the company’s profitability through reducing costs:
“We found Kast Energy Solutions to have a very comprehensive knowledge of Solar PV technology and were very happy with the design that was proposed. They also took time to explain how the Feed-In Tariff system worked.
“The Installation was carried out in a very unobtrusive way, with no disruption to our day to day operations which is important to us. The installation is very neat and tidy.
“But best of all we are generating our own electricity and have seen our imported meter readings drop already—some days we are virtually self-sufficient.”
