Smart Works, a London based organisation who help women on low incomes into work, are expanding across the UK and launching Smart Works Greater Manchester in Stockport in the spring of 2015.
Smart Works provide high quality interview clothes, styling advice and interview training to out-of-work women on low incomes, helping them to feel confident, look fabulous, succeed at their job interview and move on with their life.
Based in Stockport, the team will be helping women to prepare for interview with guidance on interview techniques and by providing a smart, brand new outfit. Women who successfully get into work are also provided wih a new ‘working-wardrobe’.
The development of Smart Works Greater Manchester has been led by Pure Innovations, a social enterprise working with young people and adults with disabilities preparing them with employment and life skills to become a part of their community. The team Pure have brought together consist of prominent and successful local businesswomen who bring an expert understanding of the return-to-work environment.

This year Smart Works will dress more than 2,000 women in a complete outfit of stylish, high quality clothes donated by retailers and professionals. A visit to Smart Works can change the course of a woman’s life.
The vision at Smart Works has always been to help as many women as possible by taking the learnings from our London offices, where we have been dressing women for over a decade, and share that with other cities in the UK.
