Singapore Airlines celebrated that all its existing daily flights from Manchester to Singapore, will now fly with brand new aircraft cabins in every class.
The aircraft operating the daily service will continue to be a Boeing 777-300ER but fitted with the airline’s latest suite of cabin products. New First Class, Business Class and Economy seating will be introduced for the first time, as will the airline’s newest cabin addition; Premium Economy Class. The upgraded aircraft have been progressively introduced over the last few months and are now available every day for customers flying from Manchester to destinations including Singapore and beyond.
To celebrate the occasion, the airline held a special competition amongst today’s travelers to win one of seven upgrades to Munich in the newest of all cabins, Premium Economy.
Offering more space, comfort and convenience, each leather seat has 38 inches of legroom, calf and foot rests and an eight-inch recline for even greater relaxation. Complementing this is the largest HD touchscreen monitor in its class – the perfect way to enjoy over 1000 hours of on-demand entertainment from the award-winning KrisWorld system.
Customers can also enjoy Champagne served throughout the flight and even pre-order meals from the special Book the Cook menus available. Additionally, wines selected by the airline’s wine consultants – which include Oz Clarke – and cocktails like the Singapore Sling continue to be available.
On the ground, meanwhile, customers travelling in the new cabin can look forward to additional baggage allowance, extra KrisFlyer miles, as well as priority check-in and boarding as standard.
Wilson Yong, General Manager UKI, Singapore Airlines, commented: “We have been flying to Manchester for almost 30 years and are delighted to now be able to guarantee our customers the newest cabins in all classes on our daily flights. Feedback has been incredibly positive from those that have already flown in the new cabins and Manchester fliers can enjoy being amongst the first destinations in our network to receive the new product on every flight we operate there.”
Patrick Alexander, Head of Marketing, at Manchester Airport said: “We are delighted that Singapore Airlines has introduced a premium economy product on its daily flight from Manchester Airport. The new class will offer our 23m annual passengers more choice on a popular route.
“I hope the lucky passengers who received an upgrade this morning enjoy the new cabin and we look forward to welcoming them back to Manchester Airport on their next trip in the future.”
