Stockport Homes Group have been awarded Platinum Status in Investors in People (IIP) for their approach to people management and development following the assessment in March 2019. This prestigious accolade supports the Group vision to deliver the best services to customers by being a great place to work
The IIP Platinum accreditation is the highest accolade that can be achieved against the Investors in People Standard and is currently held by only 1% of IIP accredited organisations.
This is the tenth year of holding IIP and being an IIP Champion, sharing guidance and best practice with other organisations. In addition SHG have retained their IIP Health and Wellbeing Award achieving ‘high performing’ in all areas – further demonstrating the group’s commitment and support to all its employees.
The intensive assessment completed by John O’ Sullivan included one to one staff interviews, group meetings and a three year comparison of measures to show outcomes against each of the 9 IIP indicators. John said, “Throughout the assessment there was a strong consensus indicating that team members have a sense of pride in working for the organisation and believe it to be a great place to work”
Robin Burman, Chair of Stockport Homes Group says, “We are delighted to have achieved Platinum status this year, in the same year as Sunday Times Best Companies named us as the number 1 housing provider to work for and being named Top Landlord in the Northern Housing Awards. The success and achievements are a reflection of the passionate and dedicated team we have here at SHG.”
