Following the success of Sector3’s #KeepStockportCaring campaign, the infrastructure support organisation has launched its second online community soup fund.
Sector3’s first soup event held online last week saw the organisation give away £1,000 to two lucky Stockport based VCSE organisations in the community to help support them through the stresses of Covid-19.
Originally from America, the ‘soup’ concept gives organisations the opportunity to voice their funding need to a group of other like-minded people, with the collective then being given a vote to select the organisation they feel has the greatest need.
With the first event going so week, Sector3 has decided to run another event with another £1,000 in the pot. With only a week to apply – applications will close at 5pm on Monday 16 November – the online community fund will offer a first prize of £750 and a second prize of £250 to the top two organisations who win their ‘pitch’.
Application to the online community soup fund can be accessed by the organisation’s Surveymonkey form.
To be eligible to apply, your organisation must be based in Stockport and you cannot have already received funding from Sector3’s #KeepStockportCaring fund.
The #KeepStockportCaring campaign helped support over 40 Stockport based organisations with much needed funding in the fallout from the first coronavirus lockdown.
