Stockport and North West law firm SAS Daniels LLP has hired Ray Woodward, a litigation expert, as an associate in its Chester office. Ray, who has over 20 years’ experience in commercial litigation, will join the Chester dispute resolution team.
Ray (left) has worked in most areas of dispute resolution, but has
particular experience in the banking and financial services sector.
Ray also has considerable experience in company and
shareholder disputes.
Likewise, he has represented clients bringing claims for
professional negligence, and was a nominee of the prestigious
Times Justice Awards for his work in the banking mortgage
sector. He qualified in 1989, and moves from Aaron and Partners.
The move brings valuable commercial litigation experience into
SAS Daniels’ corporate portfolio, both in the Chester market and
in the wider North West region.
Kaye Whitby, head of SAS Daniels’ Chester office and a corporate and commercial partner at the firm, said: “Ray is a highly respected and experienced lawyer, and we are delighted he is joining the Chester team. We are extremely pleased to be able to attract such a wealth of talent to strengthen our dispute resolution team and provide an even better full service offering to our clients.”
Ray Woodward said
“I’m excited to be joining such a forward thinking and dynamic firm. The changes that the legal profession is going through are having a major impact on the way we offer services to our clients, and in my view SAS Daniels is ahead of the pack in the way it helps clients and structures its fees in this new environment. I am relishing the challenge of joining Kaye and the team to enhance the firm’s commercial offering in Chester.”
Chris MacCafferty, (left) partner and head of dispute resolution based at
Stockport’s SAS Daniels office said:
“I am delighted to have such an experienced solicitor joining the dispute
resolution team. Ray’s arrival, following hot on the heels of Insolvency Solicitor
Paul Formby, is another part of our plan to grow the team and expand our skill
base in the coming twelve months following our fantastic growth of 60 per cent
last year. I look forward to seeing the benefits both our clients and SAS Daniels will reap from his many years of experience and expertise.”
