Stockport and Cheshire law firm, SAS Daniels LLP, has advised the shareholders of Knutsford-based Matix Accounts Ltd on the sale of their business to TMF Acquisitions.
Matix Accounts appointed SAS Daniels to handle the transaction, ensuring a seamless transfer of their business to the new ownership. The team at SAS Daniels was led by Paul Tyrer, a partner in the corporate team, with assistance from Holly Jarvis.
Matix Accounts has built a strong reputation specialising in the provision of bookkeeping, management accounts, payroll, and credit control services. Operating on a white-label basis for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, the firm is known for its high-quality bookkeeping and financial support.
The majority shareholding is now held by TMF Acquisitions, a company led by Luke Farren, Adam Ginns, Chris West and Joshua Ridler.
Matix Accounts founders Helen Rogers and Rebecca Mallon will maintain a shareholding, and will continue to be actively involved in the leadership of the firm. This is part of a strategic investment to strengthen the long-term resilience of the company and ensure continuity for clients and staff.
Helen Rogers of Matix Accounts, said:
“SAS Daniels provided exceptional guidance throughout this process, allowing us to complete the sale efficiently. We are incredibly proud of the business we built and the relationships we’ve fostered with our clients. We are confident that TMF Acquisitions is the perfect partner to take Matix Accounts forward and represents the next chapter, enabling the business to scale its operations and enhance the services we provide to our existing client base.”
Paul Tyrer Corporate Partner at SAS Daniels LLP, commented:
“Driven by impending changes to capital gains tax on 6 April, my colleagues and I in the corporate team completed eight deals last week, and it was a particular pleasure to act for Helen and Rebecca on the sale of Matix Accounts as one of those transactions. They have built a distinct and successful business model in the outsourced financial services sector, providing a highly professional service and have very strong client relationships. We wish them the best for the future and look forward to celebrating their further business growth, as they leverage the impressive resources of the larger group.”
