Robinsons Brewery, in conjunction with Stockport Old Town, are to host their first ever Stockport Old Town Beer Festival at Robinsons award-winning Visitors Centre as part of Stockport Beer Week.
The Stockport Old Town beer festival, which will start on Thursday 22nd September and run until Sunday 25th*, will feature 17 different cask ales from a selection independent brewers in Manchester and Cheshire including Robinsons’ own core cask ale range and Iron Maiden’s TROOPER Red N Black porter.
Gill Yates, Brands Manager for Robinsons Brewery, said: “It’s great that we have this opportunity to celebrate the nation’s favourite drink as part of Stockport Beer Week. A beer festival is something we’ve never done at Robinsons so we are excited to feature some of the finest cask ales that Stockport and beyond has to offer.”

Local brewers pulling pints too
Beers from Thirst Class Brewery, Fool Hardy, Stockport Brewing, Cryptic Ales, Quantum, Poynton Brewery, Tweed Brewery, Westwood Brewery, Howard Town Brewery, Torrside Brewery, Rock Mill Brewery and Wily Fox will be available throughout the festival in half and full pint measures.
The Stockport Old Town beer festival will also feature live music from local bands across the two evenings. Street style food will also be available from the Visitors Centre throughout the event.
Tickets for each day cost £4 when purchased in advance or £5 on the day and give access to the festival along with a branded glass to keep. Beer tokens are available from inside the festival on arrival.
