The Crown Inn pub in Hawk Green has had a makeover inside and outside after investment from Robinsons and licensee Simon Hood
The Crown pub in Hawk Green has re-opened following a joint investment from Robinsons Brewery and licensee Simon Hood.
Robinsons’ award-winning design team removed obstructing pillars in the trading area to create continuity between the drinking and dining areas and there is a new low-level snug area.
The new bar area, which displays a new collection of hand-picked wines and spirits along with four copper hand pulls, is designed to complement the rustic feel of the décor.
Simon said: “The transformation is breathtaking, we are all delighted with the outcome and so are our customers.
“We’ve had very little teething issues despite having a brand new kitchen, online booking system and tills.
“The overwhelming success in the first week has led to us already looking for more staff to join our team to cope with the demand.
“I want to thank the hard work of everyone at Robinsons for making The Crown a stunning success.”
Outside, the pub has been transformed thanks to a brand new planting scheme, seating areas and Robinsons trademark copper signage.
The new menu, created by head chef Neil Hobson, champions fresh produce with a focus on using the highest quality ingredients, including a range of 28-day aged steaks alongside classic British favourites
Ellis Wardle, Business Development Manager for Robinsons Brewery, said: “The refurbishment looks brilliant and has allowed The Crown to change direction and offer a more comprehensive food menu along with a larger premium range of beers, spirits and wines.
“We’ve worked closely with Simon from the start as we wanted to not only keep what made the pub special with the regulars but appeal to more passing trade.
“The new offering certainly does that and this new chapter for The Crown will be exciting for not only the residents of Hawk Green but for the entire area.”
