The Dog and Partridge in Great Moor, Stockport, has reopened following a substantial investment from Robinsons Brewery and Licensee Andy Green.
The popular A6 pub was closed for three weeks whilst Robinsons’ design and property team transformed the interior to create a modern and welcoming community pub which champions cask ales, premium lagers and home-cooked food.
Andy said: “The Dog and Partridge in Great Moor has always been at the heart of the community and we are extremely proud of the role we play for the area. Whilst it certainly had its charms, the pub was definitely in need of fresh coat of paint so it was really a no-brainer when Robinsons approached us.”
With log burning fires, a large family friendly pub garden to the rear and a new snug area, the Dog and Partridge is full of cosy pockets to enjoy a pint with friends or get lost in conversation.
The interior change has also created open spaces which are perfect for live music and entertainment whilst a new menu, created with Robinsons’ Food Development Manager, Nick Burns, champions home-cooked comfort food with traditional pub classics.
“The results really are phenomenal” explained Andy. “I can’t thank the brewery’s team enough for the hard work they’ve put in over the last three weeks. The new look will help the Dog and Partridge continue to thrive and give the community a great meeting place for many years to come.”
The Dog and Partridge in Great Moor is just one of the many local pubs that Robinsons have invested in over the last several years with neighbouring sites like the Flying Coach, Puss in Boots, Bakers Vaults, Blossoms and Travellers Call, to name a few, all receiving substantial brewery investment.
Tony Massey, Business Development Manager for Robinsons Brewery said: “We are extremely proud of all our pubs and our heartland certainly holds a special place in our hearts. With the Dog and Partridge joining the long list of our upgraded pubs across the A6 and in the area, Stockport is becoming a real hotspot for brilliant pubs and brilliant beer.”
The Dog and Partridge is open now serving a rotating range of Robinsons cask ales, premium lagers, world spirits and award-winning wines alongside a new freshly prepared food menu.
