Robinsons Brewery’s annual trade show at St Helens Rugby Football Club has been the most successful in company history thanks to a record turnout of licensees, free trade customers and suppliers from across the country.
The event, now in its fourth year, was attended by over half of Robinsons’ 300 strong pub estate along with key free trade accounts and 67 heavyweights from the hospitality industry including Diageo, Love Drinks, Coca Cola, Cave Direct, Molson Coors and many more.
Sarah Rogers, Organiser of the trade show and Retail Marketing Manager for Robinsons Brewery said: “The trade show is a yearly event that everyone in the brewery looks forward too. Not only does it give Robinsons a great platform to launch new products and services but it allows one-to-one interaction between our licensees and suppliers.”
This year’s trade show was headlined by several exclusives for 2016 including Robinsons’ award-winning 9 Hop IPA available in keg for the very first time alongside a new rotational craft keg range that will be available to all Robinsons pubs from June.
Robinsons also launched a new utilities partnership which is set to save licensees an average of £3,000 per year. The money saving scheme has already signed up close to 50 pubs with the plan to roll the incentive out across all of Robinsons’ pubs over the next 12 months.
“Our trade show has exploded over the last two years” explained Sarah. “St Helens RFC is the perfect venue for us and has allowed us to invite even more licensees, free trade customers and suppliers than ever before; contributing to record attendance numbers year-on-year.”
Martin Webb, National Accounts Manager for Molson Coors said: “We go to a lot of trade shows but Robinsons’ was one of the best. It was fantastic to be involved in such a well organised event where all licensees were such a pleasure to meet. We want to pass our sincerest thanks to every member of the Robinsons team who helped put on the show. Their hard work really paid off.”
Sinéad Lowe, Accounts Manager for Love Drinks added: “The trade show was supremely organised and all Robinsons’ licensees were eager to engage and find out more about our products. It was a great day to drive sales and help licensees build more knowledge of our brands. A really beneficial day and I want to thank Robinsons for their support.”
Yvonne Hallworth, Licensee of the Davenport Arms said: “We’ve been coming to the trade shows since they first began and they are always a brilliant opportunity to meet with suppliers who you normally only speak to over the phone. It’s a great chance to sample and learn about new products and we always come away with a lot of great ideas. Sarah and the team do a brilliant job and it’s great that they happen each year. We are already looking forward to next years!”
