Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) are hosting their first of four free workshops, supporting businesses in the city-region to enable employees to make more Sustainable Journeys.
TfGM want to enable more sustainable journeys across Greater Manchester – helping to improve lives for everyone in the city region by reducing traffic congestion and making the air cleaner. The series of four workshops throughout 2020 will help businesses take steps to improving transport options and make for happier and more productive employees.
Attendance will also support businesses in applying for the TfGM Sustainable Journeys accreditation scheme. Businesses attending all four workshops in a single year will automatically receive Bronze accreditation.
The first workshop takes place at Transport for Greater Manchester (Room 1a), TfGM, 2 Piccadilly Place, Manchester, M1 3BG on Friday 10th January, between 1pm and 4pm. Businesses can register to attend for free on the event’s website and places can be booked here.
Making employees’ journeys more sustainable could consider offering flexible working hours or encouraging car sharing, public transport use, cycling or walking to work. The workshops will give businesses opportunities to share best practices, ideas and experiences and give access to workplace cycle training.
The second TfGM Sustainable Journeys workshop takes place on Wednesday 25th March 2020, and registration for attending has already opened, and places can be booked here.
