REDDISH Vale Golf Club is hosting a series of weekly open competitions to give golfers the opportunity to experience its magnificent course.
The first Friday Open at the Stockport club is on May 3 with another planned for May 17. From May 31 it is planned to play the singles Stableford competition every Friday until September.
Members of other clubs will compete for a
prize pot alongside Reddish Vale
members, while players without a
handicap can play the Alister MacKenzie-
designed course for a reduced green fee.
Club manager Dave Sanders said:
“It is the perfect opportunity for members
to invite along golfing friends, work
colleagues, relatives, or neighbours to
taste the full Reddish Vale experience”.
Dave continued:
“It gives members another opportunity for competitive golf at a time when many of us can get away from work early and we hope to generate significant regular green fee revenue from visitors and to boost bar takings on a Friday evening.”
The Friday Open costs £20 to enter with £5 going into the prize pot.
Players without a handicap can play for £15 but can also apply for an associate membership at £65 a year.
