
Manchester Airports Group has started its summer season with record performance across its UK sites: Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports.
MAG served a record 6.4 million passengers in June, an increase of 2.2% on the same month last year. The Group – which operates Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands – recorded a rolling 12-month passenger total of 66.6 million passengers, a 1.6% increase year-on-year. Manchester and London Stansted both saw record passenger numbers across June.
Manchester Airport served 3.1 million passengers across the month – an increase of 1.3% year-on-year. The airport’s rolling 12-month passenger total stood at 32.3m passengers, a 2.3% increase on 2025.
London Stansted welcomed 2.9 million passengers in June, a 3.4% increase year-on-year. The rolling 12-month passenger total for the airport stood at 30.3 million passenger, a 1.2% increase on last year.
East Midlands Airport welcomed more than 498,000 passengers, a 1.2% increase year-on-year. As the UK’s largest pure freight hub, the airport handled also more than 37,000 tonnes of cargo across June – a 13.9% increase on prior year.
With schools across the UK about to break up for summer, MAG’s airports have more than 990,000 additional seats on sale compared to 2025, offering passengers a greater choice of global destinations than ever before.
As the Group heads into its peak summer season, operational performance remained strong. 100% of passengers at London Stansted passed through security in 15 minutes or less. At East Midlands Airport, the figure was 99% and at Manchester Airport it was 97%.
