There is often a perception that disabled people will fundraise for themselves. Marketing Stockport member Pure Innovations decided to blow that idea out the water; the people at Pure want to support the homeless of Stockport, with no badges or labels. It’s that simple.
On Friday 4th December, we will be taking over a stall in Stockport Market. Vernon Art Centre Artists will be showcasing their incredible talent with a range of delightful gifts, things you can’t wait to give or receive.
We aim to have a really fun day, but don’t worry if you can’t see us, because you will hear us. During the morning we will be accompanied by a live band, singing our way into Christmas. We are situated opposite Blackshaws.
People with support needs are rarely considered as contributors to society. They are considered to be the people we support, the people who need us, the people who offer little. We have never had this view at Pure Innovations, but now it is time to show the world, how much our group have to offer, how we can work alongside each other and all gain so much and most importantly, we need to change opinion.
These amazing artists have loads to contribute, they support themselves and others around them, they make fantastic gifts and they are involved in our local community fundraising for the homeless at this significant time of the year.
But don’t just read all about it, come and join in the fun, see what we really do and even bag a gorgeous handmade gift that is as unique as the team who created it.
