MAN Diesel & Turbo UK Ltd (MDT-UK) welcomed two prestigious customers recently to its Training Academy in Hazel Grove.
Representatives for the Royal Navy’s HMS Ocean and the world-famous Harrods Department Store attended a week-long maintenance course specifically designed to cover MDT-UK’s Ruston RKC and RK270 engines.
HMS Ocean has Ruston engines for power generation and Harrods have Ruston engines as back-up generators in case their power fails.
All participants were fully engaged on the course and gained valuable theoretical knowledge and practical experience on the engines.
MDT-UK received considerable positive feedback about the course and the facility with one of the HMS Ocean crew specifically commenting; (the course) “hit the nail on the head with demonstrations and class practical work.”
