Town centre office building, Petersgate House, will be sold at auction in January, with the six-storey building commanding a guide price of £1.7 million.
Formerly housing apprenticeships provider, Damar Training, Petersgate House is currently part-occupied with two tenants in place and has been put up for sale by owners, Maidenhead-based Proudkey Properties.
The six-storey block, opposite Stockport’s Central Library, houses a total of 20,800 sq ft of commercial floorspace, plus 34 basement parking spaces for occupiers, and is well situated for town centre transport links via Stockport Railway Station and Stockport’s new transport interchange currently under construction on the former bus station site off the A6.
Stockport-based Impey & Co are acting as agents on the sale, alongside auctioneers, SDL Property Auctions. Online bidding on the building is set to open on 5th January 2022 at 2pm, and close on 26th January 2022.
The property’s sale is expected to attract significant interest in light of the current ongoing developments in the town centre, particularly around Petersgate, Stockport Exchange and the train station approach, as well as the wider Town Centre West regeneration and Council investment into Merseyway and Underbanks.
