Stockport Council and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) are offering personal travel plans to town centre visitors as Access Plan infrastructure improvements get underway.
While the Stockport Town Centre Access Plan (STCAP) is being delivered to make it easier to travel around the town centre, Stockport Council and TfGM have set up a Personal Travel Planning service to advise on alternative routes.
The TCAP will provide better town centre access and enhance cycling and walking routes, as well as improving roads. Regular travellers into Stockport town centre can complete a short survey to receive their personal travel plan to be recommended alternative travel options to take advantage of these improvements, which could help to save money and time, or offer benefits to your health, and the wider environment.
The survey collects key details that are used by TfGM to create a personal journey plan and provide key travel information. All those completing the survey can take part in a prize draw to win £100 of shopping vouchers.
The survey is suitable for anyone who travels regularly into Stockport town centre, either as a commuter or for leisure. However, if you require your car to travel for work purposes during the day, live outside the Greater Manchester area or have other responsibilities that affect your journeys; recommendations made may not be appropriate.
The survey can be accessed from the Stockport Council website.
