Stockport’s largest commercial landlord and sponsor of Life Leisure’s Big Stockport Run, Orbit Developments is extending its commitment to the race by entering teams into the September event .
Three teams will be running in aid of Millie’s Trust joining an anticipated 500 runners for the 10K course through Stockport on Sunday 21st September.
Leading ‘Team Orbit’ is keen runner Claire Stott, marketing assistant at Orbit Developments. A member of Stockport running club, Bramhall Runners, Claire has raised over £1000 for charity running in some of the region’s most popular races.
Clare said:
“I’m thrilled that so many of my colleagues are lacing up their trainers for the run and raising money for such a good cause. Events like this have a fantastic atmosphere so we want the Stockport community to come out and support the race, even if they aren’t running.
“In Stockport town centre alone, we have twelve significant properties and we are incredibly committed to the Borough’s businesses, residents and visitors. Events like the Big Stockport Run helps showcase what Stockport has to offer and we are proud to be part of that.”
Organised by Life Leisure and initially inspired by the London Olympics, the Big Stockport Run is in its third year and part of Stockport’s Big Event Series which includes a swim, walk and run. It aims to encourage more people in the Borough to participate in sport and lead active and healthy lifestyles.
Sponsorship of the run is part of Orbit Developments’ £10, 000 investment in three key events in the Borough – Headlander Festival, Life Leisure’s Big Stockport Run and the Stockport Business Awards. The trio of sponsorships mark the commercial landlord’s ongoing commitment to promote Stockport as a great place to work, live and do business.
