This is one of the last major events hosted by Bramall Hall before it closes for restoration and re-development following the award of a £1.6 million grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Stockport Council wants to make sure that visitors have wonderful memories of the hall to keep them going whilst this much-loved attraction is temporarily closed.
Bramall Hall is set to re-open in spring 2016. Planned improvements include a sympathetic restoration of historic parts of the Hall including the Venetian plaster ceiling in the Withdrawing Room, repair of the decorative stained glass windows and the Victorian Boiler House, conversion of the Stable Block to provide much-needed education rooms for school parties, and improved visitor facilities such as toilets, café, shop and orientation space – a room giving an introduction to the hall.
Bramall Park will remain open as normal during the restoration works to the hall.
