The first indoor Learn to Ride a bike scheme starts tomorrow at Life Leisure’s Houldsworth Village in Reddish.
New for 2019, Learn to Ride takes to the gym and goes indoors in order to beat the winter chill and kick start that New Year’s resolution.
If it’s been a while since you’ve ridden a bike, or maybe you’ve never had the chance to try, this is the course for you.
The courses are being held in Stockport and led by qualified instructors who look to teach the very basics of cycling, offering support and guidance at your pace.
The course takes place in the main gym within Life Leisure and lasts around two hours, giving you plenty of time to hone your skills… if not, come back as many times as it takes!
Over two hours you’ll learn:
- Things you should check before each ride
- Getting on your bike, balancing and getting off again
- Starting and stopping
- Steering your bike and stopping quickly if you need to
Bikes and helmets will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
Please note that these courses are only open to those 12 years and above.
Further information about the course can be requested from firstname.lastname@example.org
*You will receive on-site directions in your booking confirmation.
