I am thrilled and honoured to be receiving an OBE in the Queen’s latest birthday honours.
“I’d like to thank the fantastic team I have around me for all their hard work and dedication. I have been delighted to receive messages directly from young people whose lives have been turned around as a result of our support and their own hard work. There is still lots more to do, and we are determined to continue to work with children and families in Stockport and Greater Manchester to better understand their needs and aspirations.”
Cllr Colin Foster, Cabinet Member for Children, Family Services and Education at Stockport Council, added:
On behalf of everyone at the Council I’d like to extend my warmest congratulations to Chris on being awarded this fantastic honour.
“Chris works extremely hard advocating on behalf of children and young people in Stockport. Her ability to inspire and lead a team is exceptional – I feel proud to work alongside such a dedicated and passionate team member.”
