All nine of the young people who completed Stockport based Pure Innovation’s Trafford Supported Internship have been offered paid work. What a fabulous result!
The interns now in work are Ed, Harry and an intern who doesn’t wish to be named, all in roles with legal specialists Horwich Farrelly.
Joe now on an extended paid work placement with recruitment specialists Rullion Christian, Steph, Kai and Billy all now working for Sodexo
The ninth intern declined her job offer to pursue other plans.
Steph (pictured above) loves being in work.
Her parents’ are delighted with her success and have shard their views on the difference the Supported Internship has made:
“Stephanie aged 24, has been in college since the age of 16. The Internship at Trafford General Hospital has been the breakthrough she needed. It has provided Stephanie with valuable life skills, providing help and support, encouraging goals and confidence and making dreams come true. Stephanie has become more independent and more confident now, in her daily routine and happy to have achieved her goal of getting a paid job. It has changed her life immensely.
“She is proud of herself and looks forward to receiving a wage each month. Stephanie has a purpose in life now, is motivated and with ongoing support she will continue to succeed to the best of her abilities.
As parents – we are extremely proud of our daughter’s success and thank Pure Innovations for believing in Stephanie and giving her this opportunity.”

Natalie Irvine – Pure Employment Officer commented:
“We have worked with such supportive employers this year. Everyone has been so focused on providing the best experience for the interns with emphasis on their wellbeing. The interns themselves have all been so willing to learn. They have readily taken on feedback and inspired each other. Firm friendships have been made and though the internship has ended those friendships will carry on. All the interns fully deserve their success.”
