Harrow Estates and Avro Heritage have announced that they intend to hold a two-day Public Exhibition on the forthcoming planning application for the Woodford Aerodrome site in Stockport.
Following community workshops held in July, Harrow Estates and Avro Heritage are holding a two-day Public Exhibition event on plans for up to 950 high-quality homes; a new primary school; employment area and other local amenities, for the now largely vacant, previously developed Woodford Aerodrome site.
In recognition of the heritage of the
site and the local area, these plans
have been developed to ensure that
they respect the surrounding
landscape and recognise the site’s
history.
Jennie Daly, Managing Director of Harrow Estates said:
“We’re pleased to be at the next stage of our planning application programme for Woodford Aerodrome which we believe will make the best use of a currently unloved previously developed site, as well as a unique opportunity to deliver a high quality, sustainable community to serve the needs of new and existing residents.
“The community workshops held in July were really useful for us in helping to determine which aspects of the Woodford Aerodrome scheme matter most to local people. Since then, we’ve been continuing to develop the planning application for the site.
“We hope that people from the Woodford area will come along to the public exhibition events, at which we’ll be able to provide them more of the details not previously available. We’re keen to hear the views of residents about our plans, and hope that they will continue to share them with us.”
Public Exhibition events are being held at Woodford Aerodrome, Chester Road, Woodford, SK7 1QR on:
Friday 20th September 2013, 12 midday to 8pm
Saturday 21st September 2013, 10am to 4pm
Members of the project team will be on hand to provide information about the proposal and answer questions.
