South Manchester’s Dawn Creative has helped Poyton-based Matt Nichol Garden Design lay the foundation for future growth with a fresh new visual identity, website and supporting brand collateral.
Originally established in 2011, the specialist garden design company is run by business partners Matt Nichol and Sarah Heyes, who combine more than 20 years of industry experience in garden building, ecological project management and sensitive environmental design.
The company teamed up with brand design and development experts at Dawn to create a new-look identity incorporating a refreshed logotype, type style, colour palette and photography, reinforced by a responsive website and a suite of brand literature.
Having expanded the business to include a build team this year, to ensure a seamless client experience, Matt Nichol Garden Design specialises in high quality, bespoke designs creating a fluid indoor-outdoor transition.
The identity developed by award-winning agency, Dawn, incorporates geometric elements typically found within garden design, such as equilibrium, simplicity, contrast and character, translated into a distinctive monogram.
Commenting on the project, David O’Hearns, founder of Dawn Creative, said:
“In many ways, our brand development process mirrored elements of garden design, with creative interpretation of paving, terrain and layout evident throughout. We were keen to develop a clean, high calibre brand to reflect the business’s standout qualities.”
Matt Nichol added:
“We wanted to create a high quality visual identity to align with our service offering and ensure a consistent client experience. We’re confident that this reinforces our credentials as a garden design specialist with an eye for meticulous detail and the ability to seamlessly manage a project from conception through to completion.”
Dawn Creative was recently recognised among some of the world’s elite agencies as a Creativepool Annual Winner.
“We received a coveted Gold Annual and further exposure through the launch of the Creativepool Annual printed publication that will be delivered to the desks of agencies and brands around the globe, while also appearing at creative festivals such as Cannes Lions.”
