The newly-built Bramhall Manor care home in Stockport has been sold by operators, New Care, to a London-based investor, Place North West has reported.
Octopus Healthcare purchased the 71-bed home from New Care for £16 million, however, New Care will continue to operate the facility and be the sole tenant in the building.
The sale announcement comes a week after New Care announced the home would be used by Stockport NHS Foundation Trust to provide extra capacity as part of the borough’s coronavirus response. The home will be used as an additional rehabilitation facility for patients, who may otherwise ‘bed-block’ on wards in Stepping Hill that may be needed to provide capacity for Covid-19 patients.
Bramhall Manor is a brand new, purpose-built care home that was completed in March 2020. It will provide 71 fully furnished private rooms, across three floors, each with en suite facilities. There are several communal lounges, libraries and dining rooms as well as extensive gardens.
New Care is a subsidiary of McGoff Group, based in Altrincham, and the home was built by McGoff Construction.
Beyond Corporate Law represented New Care as legal advisor in the deal.
