Bramall Hall has appointed a new operator to run its café once its restoration programme has been completed following a grant of £1.6 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The existing café closed at the end of December 2014. A regional marketing campaign was undertaken by CBRE’s Manchester Specialist Markets team to search for an operator to run the café which is located in the Stable Block.
Mosaic Hospitality has been chosen to run the café, which will be named The Stables Kitchen at Bramall Hall. Mosaic Hospitality is experienced in the sector and runs the Tudor Barn Café at Arley Hall in Northwich and the Garden Café at Ness Botanic Gardens in Neston. Their sister company, RW Bespoke, has provided wedding catering at Bramall Hall for 10 years.
Councillor Patrick McAuley, Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Regeneration, said:
“Mosaic Hospitality is already a successful operator in the North West and we are delighted to have them on board. Their passion for food and hospitality will enhance the quality of the visitor experience at Bramall Hall following its magnificent restoration.”
The café will be renovated alongside the project to restore historic parts of Bramall Hall. Existing features in the café will be combined with a contemporary new build extension that reflects the park setting. There will be seating inside the café and an attractive outdoor dining space which overlooks the lawned events garden in the Stable Block.
Lorna Pass from CBRE’s Manchester Specialist Market’s team added:
“Mosaic will offer fresh, seasonal produce that caters for all visitors to Bramall Hall & Park and will be a complementary addition to their business portfolio.”
Mosaic Hospitality is keen to involve the local community. They will run recruitment days at Bramall Hall and take on an apprentice in the kitchen. Their menu will use ingredients that have been locally sourced and they plan to launch a loyalty schemes for regular customers.
The new café will open in Spring 2016.
