Carillion Property Services are looking to submit a planning application in the coming weeks on behalf of the Council for a business park development at the former Gorsey Bank Estate site located adjacent to Gorsey Bank Park and the river Mersey.
Stockport Council is encouraging residents to attend a Public Exhibition to look over proposals for a new business park in Cheadle Heath on Saturday 22nd November at the Cheadle Heath Community Centre, from 12noon to 4.00pm where members of the development team will be at the event to discuss the proposed scheme. People attending will also have an opportunity to give feedback on the proposals.
Councillor Patrick McAuley, Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Economic Development Regeneration, said:
“These are exciting proposals which will help transform this area into a vibrant business park which could create up to 242 new jobs. It will also create a new riverside walking route and improved open space. I would encourage residents to attend the Public Exhibition and give us their views on the proposals.”
Subject to planning approval it is anticipated that work will begin on the site in summer 2015 with the first units being occupied by around spring 2016.
