Manchester born politician Greg Mulholland MP has spoken to a delegation of 80 Stockport based professionals at Robinson’s Brewery where he also, quite fittingly urged guests to unite to ‘save the pub’.
Mr Mulholland, who is a member of the Work and Pensions Committee in Parliament, was the special guest of professional firms Booth Ainsworth LLP and Prest Financial Planning at their evening drinks reception and spoke briefly about his life in Westminster before moving on to matters close to his heart which is his involvement with the ‘Save the pub’ campaign. He also spoke about the need to stay local in business and support local firms and produce.
Says David Powell, (left) Managing Partner at Booth Ainsworth:
“The evening could not have been any better. Mr Mulholland was called back to Parliament on the day he was speaking but still took time to mingle with our guests and discuss amusing anecdotes. We were delighted with the outcome of the evening and the attendance on the night.”
Graham Prest, Managing Director of Prest Financial Planning says:
“We wanted an event with a difference to help bring Stockport business people together and celebrate our close working relationship with Booth Ainsworth LLP. Robinson’s Brewery is an ideal & iconic Stockport venue which fitted in so well with Greg’s previous ‘save the pub’ involvement.’’
