A new online form to help people looking for assistance with their adult social care charges has been added to the ‘Do it Online’ section of Stockport Council’s website.
The Council is working towards making its website more transactional and interactive. People can now make payments, apply online or report issues through the website.
The online form will enable people who are looking for assistance with their adult social care charges to provide details of their financial situation, so that a full financial assessment can be carried out to determine their ability to pay.
To see the form, and the many others already available, visit www.stockport.gov.uk/doitonline/ and browse the ‘Apply for’ section.
Councillor Keith Holloway, Executive Member for Adult Care Services, said:
“This is just one of the many ways that people can contact their Council, provide the information needed and get a speedy response by doing it all online. As always, the information provided is completely confidential. Staff in the Council’s Adult Social Care Charging Section will use it to accurately calculate the amount, if anything, that someone needs to contribute to their care costs, whether it be for their personal care, transport or meals delivery.”
