Property developer completes South Manchester Triathlon for Stockport counselling charity Mode Rehabilitation.
Vicci Schultz, 44, who lives in Mobberley, took on her seventh triathlon in Wilmslow, completed a PB and raised funds and awareness of Stockport charity Mode Rehabilitation based in Bredbury.
Vicci has previously raised money for the Animal Sanctuary in Wilmslow.
Vicci said: “I had an amazing day. It was amazing weather, amazing support and amazingly I managed to beat my previous time by 3 minutes.
“But the most amazing aspect of all…. I helped to raise the profile of Mode Rehabilitation – a group who do an amazing job for young local children”.
Mode Rehabilitation is a small charity made up of professionals who are volunteers committed to delivering psychological therapies, counselling, and facilitating workshops for people.
Vicci continued: “Through innovative workshops, focus groups, awareness training and giving skills in resilience they are equipping our children for the future.
“They support and transform the lives of those who struggle with mental wellbeing. Over the last two years Mode’s project has reached and supported young people in Stockport schools.
“Small charities like Mode Rehabilitation are making a difference to vulnerable people every day and we are often overlooked when it comes to funding and donations.”
Susan McCormack from Mode Rehabilitation said: “For us, what really motivates us is when people stand up and offer their support in any capacity. We are a voluntary organisation and this kind of support encourages us to continue and focus on the main goal which is to support young people in their struggles.
“It was heart warming to observe the level of commitment from Vicci and how willingly she got to achieve her goal.
“It was an amazing day, to quietly observe such enthusiasm and kindness… Many thanks to Vicci and to everyone involved in supporting our work with young people.”
