Midshire® sponsorship has scored a hat trick as the local office technology supplier has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Stockport County Community Foundation’s School Coaching Programme for a third consecutive year.

The coaching programme seeks to expand Stockport County’s work away from its Edgeley Park pitch and out into the local community.

Midshire sponsorship scores a hat trick!

Run entirely by the non-profit Stockport County Community Foundation, the coaching programme works with local schools to engage children of all ages in safe developmental activities around football.

A team of 20 skilled coaches, including Stockport County football players Sam Minihan, George West, and Adam Etches, work with schools in High Peak, Stockport, and Tameside to enhance both individual abilities and team skills throughout the academic year.

Foundation Manager at Stockport County Community Foundation, Dave Wardle says:

“Midshire supports the foundation with investment, design, and print. Their sponsorship goes far beyond finance, it has always felt very personal.”

He continues:

“We work closely with companies like Midshire to ensure that the club gives back to the community that supports it. As a registered charity we are completely reliant on donations, grants, and sponsors, it’s amazing to be supported by them once again.”

The Midshire sponsorship renewal comes at a great time for the foundation, having been awarded National League Trust Community Club of the Year in June, and the Vernon Jubilee Fund 2017, which funds 16 charities from a £10,000 pot each year.

The Community Foundation still have opportunities for sponsorship available in the areas of girls’ development, soccer courses, and inset days.
