Stockport full-service office technology and IT solutions provider, Midshire, has strengthened its partner status with Microsoft, through its Authorized Education Partner (AEP) programme.
Reseller Midshire undertook Microsoft’s competency test in academic licensing and market expertise and is now authorised through the AEP programme to purchase and resell Microsoft licenses to schools and academies; they can demonstrate to potential customers that they are approved and knowledgeable academic partners.
Members of the IT departments from Midshire’s Stockport and West Bromwich offices have completed the necessary assessment to become fully qualified in the AEP programme.
Stephen Pettitt, IT Solutions Specialist for Midshire commented: “Understanding licensing can be tricky, with many schools not getting the best out of the licensing that they have, or even knowing what is available. At Midshire we work closely with our customers, helping them to recognise the benefits that Microsoft licensing can provide to their institutions.
“Midshire is committed to providing the highest quality service to its customers, whilst also meeting a school’s evolving needs.”
Midshire provides an extensive range of products and services to over 4,000 schools across the UK, including photocopiers and printers, managed print services, telecommunications, IT equipment, hosted desktop and IT support.
Stephen added: “Midshire has a highly knowledgeable and experienced team of IT specialists, who work closely with schools and education establishments to supply the latest equipment and bespoke solutions, working in-line their budgets and timescales. We offer all education establishments a free IT audit to assess their current IT infrastructure and suggest areas for improvement.”
As an AEP, Midshire has access to key information about new products and events as well as new tools and resources.
Anthony Salcito, vice president of Education for Microsoft Corp.’s Worldwide Public Sector comments on making the grade as a partner, “By becoming AEPs, partners show themselves to be committed and trained in providing discounted Microsoft academic products to the education market.
This authorisation, along with our other education partner initiatives, gives our partners recognition of their areas of expertise and our academic customers the confidence that they are buying from academic IT specialists.”
