Greater Manchester’s Digital City Festival is set to be delivered in broadcast quality in 2021, using state-of-the-art infrastructure at MediaCityUK, organisers have revealed.
The dock10 studios will host this year’s event, recorded by Badger & Combes, the team behind the United We Stream GM fundraising initiative held during the first Covid-19 lockdown.
This year’s Digital City Festival will take place online from 12th-23rd April 2021, exploring what makes a leading digital city.
The two weeks will feature keynotes and panels that address the key challenges that face businesses and society as we emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic. The new platform will also host the Digital City Awards, an online exhibition and solutions showcase, and a range of partner events.
All events are free to watch via the Digital City Network, which also hosts content and networking opportunities throughout the year. A full list of confirmed sponsors and exhibitors for the festival is available from the event’s website.
Festival organisers have also released a trailer video to show attendees what to expect from the 2021 Digital City Festival:
