On Tuesday, 22 July 2014, Stockport’s Heaton School held its annual Leavers’ Presentation ceremony in the school’s main hall.
Some 13 pupils will be leaving at the end of this current school term with the majority moving on to either Cheadle and Marple College or The Bridge College in Manchester.
Two of the pupils leaving are well known to MDT-UK staff in Stockport having enjoyed work experience places at the Hazel Grove site over the past few years and the company hopes to continue with further work experience placements for the next school year.
Employees from MDT-UK in Hazel Grove were invited to the presentation ceremony and then visited the outside play and garden area, a converted area of waste ground at the side of the school which has been redeveloped thanks to the fundraising efforts of Wayne Jones and his walk along Hadrian’s Wall last October.
Both the outside areas and the building itself are a great credit to the teaching staff who do fantastic work with a remarkable bunch of students and MDT-UK looks forward to continuing its support of the school in the future.
