The June edition of the Manchester Monitor highlights that the strong performance of the UK economy is being mirrored in Greater Manchester, with business start-ups on the rise and the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance still falling. House prices and sales are also increasing in the conurbation, while hotel occupancy figures and airport passenger numbers continue to emphasise the importance of the visitor economy to Greater Manchester.
